| WHERE WE ARE - MARBELLA SPAIN |
Our studio is located just 150 yards to the beach and in the centre of Marbella. We are surrounded by hotels, bars and restaurants.
There is always something to do in Marbella and the weather is usually great all year round. Marbella is a very laid back place, the Spanish appreciate their freedom (!) The streets are kept clean, bins are emptied every morning and the beaches are spotless! |

estudo 61 is a large space, air conditioned and opposite a new car park - just opened. So no problem parking!
There is an art gallery as well as seating areas. WELCOME |

As an idea of scale - we are just 150 yards to the beach.
The old town (Orange Square) is a few minutes walk away.
The Avenida Del Mar (sculptures by Dali) is a few minutes away.
There is a Hotel in our street and bars and restaurants. |

| Sunrise by the shore |
Caroline starts off her day with a walk down by the beach. About 7.30am and this is the scene - a wonderful reddy sky with the boats and buildings silhouetted.
Even in October there are people in the sea - early in the morning!
The beaches asre fantastic here and go on for miles and miles! |

| Avenida de Mar |
The Avenida is a great place to sit and watch the world go by. It leads down to the sea and has fountains and sculptures by Dali.
There is often an event held in this space. The International art festival was here - held in June.

| The Old Town (Orange Square) |
Orange Square is the old part of Marbella which used to be a fishing village - not that long ago!!
It is a great place with tightly packed streets lined with intersting architecture of houses and shops. The restuarants are many - with huge choices. There is a wonderful atmosphere here both in the day time and at night. |

| The Golden Mile |
The Golden Mile is where the "posh" hotels are. It's where the celebrities go and not really of interest to us!! We want REAL Marbella and places to inspire our painting!!
The Golden Mile is not typical of Marbella and it is a way out from central Marbella. We can take ou there but it is not very interesting!! |
STOP PRESS
It is November 1st and the temperatures in Marbella as still 25/27 degrees
People are sunbathing in their bikinis and Caroline got a suntan from sitting at a restaurant in the port at lunch time!
HONESTLY - we really do have a micro climate here!!
